Writing is like prostitution. First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and finally for money.

I have come to realize more and more that the greatest disease and the greatest suffering is to be unwanted, unloved, uncared for, to be shunned by everybody, to be just nobody~Mother Teresa
I have to give into fangirlism and say Erik. The Lover of Trapdoors is a genius. Sweeney is magnificent, don't get me wrong, but he's a barber. Erik was as assassin in Persia.
But that's going by the book [literally...] and not ALW's movie... thing...
[Gerry <3, but as Erik... sorry, must pass. Michael will always be my ALW Phantom]

And yay! another person who knows about the Persian assassin bit. Many of my friends who like phantom havent read the books and only watched the movie... so i try to explain things and they try to argue he never killed before the opera ... just have to shake my head at them and go back to my doodling lol

But yes, I watched the movie and then bought the soundtrack to the original performance, then received the books for my birthday. So I went a little backwards, but I got to Leroux in the end.
The movie deformity... yeah, that was sunburn, basically. And grey hair. Meh compared to the stage and nothing compared to the book. You'd think with the way makeup artists were supposed to be awesome they'd have done a better job. Like how Lon Chaney managed in 1925.

Just grin and bare it. Cause somewhere out there, someone has it way worse than me.
